Thrifty Chicken

So our local grocery store was having a fantastic sale on Chicken Leg Quarters this week (.47 a pound!!). I quickly scooped up several packages and brought them on home. Problem is, I normally cook with chicken breasts, and the bone-in chicken seems a little daunting. Never fear!

Moms Eat Free

Haven't you always wondered why the kids are the ones that get to eat free when it's us parents that bring them to the restaurant, cut up their food, blow it off to cool it, rescue forks and napkins from hitting the floor, and help insert straws into to-go cups? Concoct Your Own Cleaning Supplies

In an attempt to "Go Green", "Lessen My Carbon Footprint", and just generally do my part to save the planet, I've been researching making my own cleaning solutions to use around the house. I am also shocked by the high cost of cleaning supplies each time I go to buy them. Which is often since I have three toddlers running around my house.

Be Your Own Library

I don't seem to be able to find the time to get to my local library lately. Even if I did, I don't know that I'd be able to read a book and return it by the due date to avoid a late fee. Pre-children, I used to borrow at least 5-6 books a month and read in all my free time. Used bookstores were also a favorite haunt of mine.
