Bread For Not a Lot of Dough!
I couldn't resist the pun.
I just found out about the most fabulous deal and I've got to share it with you. Our local Dollar Tree dollar store carries Nature's Own Bread- FOR A DOLLAR!
I knew that several Dollar Store chains had started carrying more grocery items, including frozen foods and vegetables, but I didn't realize that they regularly get truckloads of bread too.
I wouldn't be going on and on about this except I am a little bit of a bread snob. My kids eat sandwiches nearly everyday, and I really make an effort to keep an eye on ingredients in their food. As we all know it seems that High Fructose Corn Syrup is in EVERYTHING. So I have checked the labels on a lot of different brands of bread and found that Nature's Own Whole Wheat is sweetened with Brown Sugar versus HFCS, so it's a no-brainer for me. But this bread, even when purchased at BJ's, is $4.39 for two loaves. So now maybe you can understand why I practically skipped to the register with my 5 loaves for 5 bucks! I intend to freeze several and thaw them as needed.
A lady in line told me that they regularly receive truckloads, but you can always call your local store before you head over to make sure they some in stock. Happy Shopping!
