I love to keep a few things on hand for gifts, just in case we have a last minute party pop up or I don't get a chance to head to the Target before one of my kids gets invited to a classmate's birthday party. So I try and keep my eye out for great gifts at really insane prices. I also aim for gender/age neutral things like art supplies and books.

There are two great freebies going on this week that may help pep up your mid-summer blahs.

From now until July 2, Glidden will send you a free quart of paint in Eggshell finish. There are many colors to choose from and while it may not be enough to paint a whole room, you could definitely update some furniture or paint a door. I am a fool for stationery! Office supplies, notebooks, journals, it all sucks me in. There is just something about all the possibility lying in a blank book that makes me feel like I could write a novel.

Well, I am trying to make a blogging comeback, and I think I could use a makeover. Maybe something fresh and new without this hideous green text and title bars would inspire me. Bring out my inner thrifting goddess. She would rise each morning and sip her coffee, turn on her laptop, and marvelous thrifty thoughts would spew from her fingertips onto the keyboard inspiring all who read them.
